I ordered the pump on a Tuesday, and it came the next day. You gotta love Amazon for its fast delivery.
I quickly removed the packaging, took it out to my bike, and tested it out. I didn’t have much experience with this pump or using a suspension pump in general, but it was really easy to use.
I removed the cap from the top of the suspension fork (normally when you looking at your bike, the fork to the left will have the air), screwed on the pump nozzle to the valve on my bike, and opened the air lever.
Immediately, the bike displayed the PSI in my shocks. I was right; it was low, measuring 60 PSI.
If you want to know how much PSI you should put in your front suspension, your bike should have a sticker somewhere on the forks with all that information. You just find your weight, and then you’ll see the amount of PSI to add. At the end of the day, this is an individual thing, and you can judge how much PSI you want as you ride your bike.
I added more air by pumping and closing the lever when I reached my desired PSI. You just unscrewed the pump, and you’re done. I love that you don’t lose air when removing and adding the pump.
As I mentioned above, this pump is well-designed. It’s made from steel for most of the pump and feels solid in your hand. I love the size as well. It’s nice and compact and could easily fit in your backpack or even attach to your bike.
Overall, this pump is a perfect tool for your bike. It has an excellent design, is made with premium materials, and works amazingly well. It’s the best bike suspension bike out there.
One more thing, I love that this pump is reasonably priced. For about $30, you’re getting a solid pump that’s going to last you a long time. Can you purchase a cheaper suspension pump? Yes, but they aren’t made as premium as the GIYO.
