When you have a clogged toilet or drain, what are you going to do? You have only two options: you can fix it yourself, or you can call in the professionals to help.

It’s hard to fix a clogged drain yourself if you do not know what’s causing the clog in the first place. This is where the Lizard Cam by Atomic Beam can help you. This easy to use device will help you see what you usually cannot. Just turn on the handheld device, and you are ready to go. If you have a clogged dryer vent, clogged toilet, clogged drain or lost something behind an appliance – the Lizard Cam will be there to help.

The 4-foot cable can bend and flex around turns and corners so that you can see what’s causing the issue. At the end of the waterproof cable is a small camera and a bright LED light that allows you to view the problem on a small 2.4″ color LCD screen.

The Lizard Cam is just like what the professionals use only a smaller version. It also includes interchangeable attachments, so that you have the best option to fix your dilemma. There are three attachments that you can use: a magnet, a hook and a mirror.

The Lizard Cam creators claim that their product will help you see in tight places, behind appliances, and even down your drain pipe.

They say that their amazing micro camera is going to give you a clear view of what normally you could never see.

Their commercial claims that using their micro cam is easy, all you have to do is turn on the LCD screen, and you’re all set. They say that it’s simple to operate.

There seems to be some hype attached to this product, so we wanted to check it out ourselves and see if it was helpful or just hype.

We decided to try out the Lizard Cam outside working on my car. We added the batteries, turned on the LCD screen, and we were ready to go.

As we tested the Lizard Cam, we found that the 4-foot cord was a little too rigid and that it took a lot of fidgeting to get the cable where we wanted it to go.

We also found that the 2.4″ LCD screen was hard to view outside. We were able to use it to look around our car engine and tires with a little work.

We then decided to take it inside and use it to look under some appliances: our fridge and stove. Inside was a breeze! We could see the LCD screen a lot better.

We were able to see down our drains, behind our TV and inside our vents without any problems at all.

We found that the Lizard Cam worked great, and that it could potentially save you lots of money fixing common house problems yourself. Finding jewelry lost down the drain would easily pay for the $50 Lizard Cam.

We purchased our Lizard Cam on Amazon for a great price, and it was delivered right to our door.

But wait, there’s more . . .

Before we move on, I wanted to talk a little about a substitute that may work great for you instead of the Lizard Cam.

Everyone has mobile phones these days, and they are great tools. There are so many attachments that you can add to your mobile phone that can help you solve your everyday problems.

I recently purchased a car engine code reader that connects to my phone using Bluetooth. It works fabulous, and allows me to read the engine codes that my car displays with ease – I love it!

I also found on Amazon the BlueFire Semi-Rigid Flexible Wireless Endoscope. This allows you to connect with WIFI to your mobile phone (has its own Wi-Fi Signal) and like the Lizard Cam, allows you to see what’s in those tight spaces. This device comes with a 2 megapixel CMOS HD camera, three adjustable resolutions, rechargeable battery, and six adjustable LED lights that provide HD videos and snapshot images.

You can take video or snap a picture of what you see on the phone screen which is a feature that the Lizard Cam does not offer.

BlueFire Semi-Rigid Flexible Wireless Endoscope comes with a waterproof 10m cable for deep drains or vents.

This product has a 4-star rating on Amazon and has tons of positive comments from satisfied customers. It’s a great substitute to the Lizard Cam or professional, expensive endoscope equipment.

The Lizard Cam is a product that works great is recommended by Help or Hype as a practical product for your home.

We also recommend taking a look at the BlueFire Semi-Rigid Flexible Wireless Endoscope as another excellent substitute to the Lizard Cam.
